Heading to Japan Next Week
Next week we'll be heading to Japan to meet with our partner to review manufacturing logistics. We're hoping to share some fun updates and images from our trip, so stay tuned. We'll also be meeting with some potential partners while we're there, and hopefully we'll be able to share some updates on that in the near future.
Beyond Humanity: Colonies
The Three Headed Monster team reached out to us recently about their new game Beyond Humanity: Colonies, which is getting ready to finish up a successful campaign on Kickstarter (19 hours to go!). They had a vision for incorporating Augmented Reality (AR) elements into their game, and when they saw what we were doing they knew it would be a great fit. We agree.
Beyond Humanity: Colonies is a new landmark in hybrid gaming. The unprecedented combination of a board game with electronic miniatures and an accompanying application, significantly facilitates players' experience of building a colony on an alien planet. Smart cards are "read" by RFID technology built into miniatures buildings that emit light to communicate status with the players. The colony “board” connects wirelessly with the application on your smartphone or tablet, presenting information of the statuses of both residents and the colonies. The game is a mix of realistic Hard-SF combined with transhumanism and cyberpunk. Hack the democracy of the new social order, explore the unknown planets, decide on the direction of the colony's development.

Reminder to vote on color choices for the glasses/wands and game board bordercolors
Just a reminder to get in and vote on the additional color choices for the glasses/wands and game board borders. We've received over 300 responses so far, and right now it looks like Grey and Black are winning for the glasses/wands, and blue is winning for the additional game board border color. You have until Friday to fill out the survey and let your choices be known. The link is included in the previous update that went out to backers.

Here’s what you can expect moving forward over the next couple of weeks:
Kickstarter processed the payments for your pledges just after the campaign ended. If there were any issues, Kickstarter sent an email letting you know. We've also sent reminder messages. You have until 7 days from the Kickstarter notice to fix the issue. Usually it's just a matter of re-entering your credit card. Let us know if you run into any issues, we'll do what we can to help out.
In approximately 2-3 weeks you’ll receive your Pledge Survey from BackerKit. You’ll be able to let them know what you pledged for, and there will be an opportunity to add some items onto your pledge as well. If you want to add another kit, group pack, or game board, you'll be able to do that at that time.
You’ll have plenty of time before your rewards ship to update your address, so if you're going to be moving before your reward ships out, don’t fret.
For all of our backers, everyone will receive a separate survey, from us, where you'll get to vote on the color choices for the glasses and game boards. We'll send that out next week, and we'll share the results of the survey with everyone. We're looking forward to seeing the results and the colors that you choose.
We've had some people ask us if the final stretch goal for the free games applies to everyone, and we're happy to say that it does indeed. Everyone gets the additional free games! Yay!
